Malachite House is a Halfway House and Reintegration Center for Addicts and Alcoholics in recovery.
We believe in breaking the mould so our house is run with the individual in mind.
Our property is in Chartwell, behind Broadacres Shopping Center and close to Fourways.The property spans 2.6 Hectares and offers multiple housing options, allowing us to cater for our residents' individual needs. It offers the tranquility of country life with all the modern conveniences less than 2kms away.

Halfway House
Halfway Houses have been around for decades. Traditionally they have functioned as a second thought following inpatient treatment. They have a reputation for being run down facilities where only the desperate will, or have to go. A Halfway House is one of the most misunderstood phases of addiction treatment but the concept has come in leap and bounds and this inspired me to open Malachite House.
We have discovered that Halfway Houses form the most important part of treatment because being clean and sober in an inpatient facility is easier than doing it alone. The challenge starts on day of discharge.

With this in mind Malachite House offers beautiful accommodation so that our clients have an opportunity to make that very important connection with other people. Isolation in early recovery is detrimental to the process.
We provide individual counselling on site, referrals to other professionals and group therapy.
We will admit people who have not been through an inpatient treatment programme after a thorough assessment process.
What we provide is a luxurious, beautifully situated safe space in a therapeutic environment.
Being in a Halfway House is about more than learning to respect rules and boundaries, it is about learning to walk again in real time, with real time problems and issues.
A Halfway House is about finding meaningful structure whilst learning to live again.
Everything you learned in primary inpatient treatment will be tested in this phase, so be prepared, be Honest, Open Minded and Willing!
Reintegration House
​
Our Reintegration House, while offering all the benefits of the Halfway House, offers additional support with a full day programme to assist our residents with 12 Step recovery, vocational guidance, skills developement and daily work tasks, thereby providing the necessary tools and skills to live a fulfilling and productive life in sobriety.
