More Than Just a Place to Stay

With this philosophy at the heart of everything we do, Malachite House offers beautiful, comfortable accommodation where residents have the opportunity to build one of the most important foundations of lasting recovery—meaningful human connection. We understand that isolation in early recovery can be one of the greatest threats to long-term sobriety, which is why community forms the cornerstone of our programme.

Our therapeutic environment is designed to support every stage of the recovery journey. We provide on-site individual counselling, group therapy, family support, and referrals to trusted healthcare professionals and specialists whenever additional care is needed.
​
While many of our residents join us after completing an inpatient treatment programme, this is not a requirement. Following a comprehensive assessment, we also welcome individuals who are ready to begin their recovery journey without prior inpatient treatment, ensuring they receive the level of care and support best suited to their individual circumstances.

OUR SERVICES
Halfway House
Halfway Houses have been around for decades. Traditionally they have functioned as a second thought following inpatient treatment. They have a reputation for being run down facilities where only the desperate will, or have to go. A Halfway House is one of the most misunderstood phases of addiction treatment but the concept has come in leap and bounds and this inspired me to open Malachite House.
We have discovered that Halfway Houses form a very important part of treatment because being clean and sober in an inpatient facility is easier than doing it alone. The challenge starts on day of discharge.
At Malachite House, we offer far more than accommodation. We provide a safe, therapeutic environment in a beautiful country setting where residents can heal, grow, and rebuild their lives with dignity, purpose, and hope.

Living in a halfway house is about far more than learning to follow rules or respect boundaries. It is about learning to navigate everyday life again—facing real-world challenges while developing the confidence, resilience, and practical skills needed for independent living.

A successful halfway house provides structure, accountability, and support while encouraging personal responsibility and healthy decision-making. It is a place where residents discover purpose, rebuild relationships, establish healthy routines, and develop the confidence to thrive beyond recovery.

The lessons learned during primary inpatient treatment are put into practice every day during this stage of recovery. There will be challenges, setbacks, and opportunities for growth. Success requires the willingness to remain Honest, Open-Minded, and Willing—the timeless principles that form the foundation of lasting recovery.

Reintegration House
​
Our Reintegration House builds on the support and community of our Halfway House while providing an enhanced level of structured care through our comprehensive Day Programme.
​
Designed for individuals who require additional support as they transition back into everyday life, the programme focuses on developing the practical, emotional, and vocational skills necessary for long-term recovery. Residents participate in 12-Step recovery work, vocational guidance, life skills development, emotional intelligence training, and meaningful daily work responsibilities that encourage accountability, routine, and personal growth.

At Malachite House, reintegration is about more than simply remaining sober—it is about building a future filled with hope, purpose, and lasting recovery.
